Jazz
Jazz is an 11 year old mini donkey. She came from a donkey rescue in Liberal Missouri, T & D Donkey Rescue. She is sweet and loving, nudges other donks away in an effort to hoard all the attention. She loves to be talked to and have her coat combed. Jazmine’s favorite snack is cinnamon graham crackers.
Annabelle
Annabelle is a 14 year old mini donkey. She came from a home where horses where bullying her. She is a ton of fun in a small package. She loves to cuddle and be talked to. Belly rubs are one of Annabelle’s favorite things. Her favorite snack is vanilla sandwich cookies. She’s been having a bit too many snacks lately and is working on weight.
Gidget
Gidget is an 8 year old mini donkey. She’s Annabelle’s best friend and the two have been inseparable for the past few years. They can always been found together in the pasture or in the barn. When separated they both start braying for one another’s return. Gidget is an old soul, one of the more mature donks. She’s the mother figure of the group Her favorite snack is butterscotch nuggets.
Poncho
Poncho is a 13 year old mini donkey. He’s shy and a bit reserved. Poncho hasn’t been to an event yet but is near ready, he’s working on his self-confidence. Poncho loves apples, honey crisps are a favorite.
Ava Mae
Ava is 5 year old standard donkey. She’s a cuddle bug, loves to lay down with her human counterparts for some ear scratching and storytelling. Ava came from a rescue. She’s had some hoof problems and spent a couple months at Mizzou College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia. She made best friends with the medical students and staff of the hospital. She was the star of the barn with her loud braying every morning for breakfast. Ava loves vanilla wafers.
Willie
Willie is a 6 year old standard donkey who came from a rescue. He was orphaned as a baby. He sucks his tongue and often carries items in his mouth as a pacifier. Amongst his favorite toys are traffic cones. Willie is a big playful mess. He carries hoses, lead ropes, and hula hoops. On more than one occasion has gotten a paper feed bag stuck on his head while using it as a toy. Willie loves carrots and watermelon. Willie, Poncho and Lefty are the three amigos.
Lefty
Lefty is 5 year old standard donk who came from a rescue. He’s an introvert and very shy. He’s making strides in trusting his human friends. He’s playful and kind to his donkey pals. Lefty loves apple wafer horse snacks. He’s working on his social skills and self-confidence.
Kiki
Kiki is a 13 year old standard donk. She’s very calm, loving and intelligent. She will put her head on your shoulders and look deep into your eyes for as long as you’ll stay. She loves being talked to and having her ears scratched. She is very polite and gentle. Kiki came from a donkey rescue. Her favorite snack is vanilla wafers and peppermints.
Bojangles ("Beau")
Beau is the CEO of Mini Donkey Companioons. His main duties include rounding the heard for meals and loading them onto the trailer. Beau was a stray, he’s approximately 4 years old, English Sheppard mix who we found roaming the streets in rural Missouri. He’s a close friend and herder of the donkeys and horses at the farm. He’s a faithful friend and protector of the heard.
